Hudood: Rethinking boundaries

Hudood, a collaborative exhibition led by SOAS students at the SOAS Gallery, introduces contemporary art from the Barjeel Foundation, with a focus on the overarching theme of "Boundaries" as both a subject and a tool for meaningfully accessing a diverse array of art from the SWANA region.

Belonging Flexibly: Non-Muslim migrants from Muslim Asia

'Belonging Flexibly' tells the story of non-Muslim communities from historically Muslim-majority cities in Asia, including (post) Soviet Central Asia, that migrated out of the region due to political instability, international intervention, and civil conflict.

The gallery is closed on bank holidays as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Gallery is also closed during exhibition changeovers

The Japanese Roof Garden is accessible through the exhibition galleries and follows the same opening hours.
