Bec, MA Global Diplomacy 2019
Bec has over 15 years’ experience working within the creative sector, cultural diplomacy and civil society. She is currently part of the Soft Power Strategy team at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra, Australia.
Most recently she led Australia’s cultural and public affairs program in the United States, overseeing the presentation and promotion of Australia’s cultural identity in North America. Previously Bec was Senior Advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur for Cultural Rights.
In Australia, Bec was a senior arts administrator holding Executive Producer roles and producing 17 new Australian works for the stage and toured productions to over 50 venues globally.
Bec holds a Masters in Global Diplomacy (SOAS, University of London), a Masters in Management (Arts and Culture, University of South Australia) and a Bachelor of Technical Theatre (NIDA, National Institute of Dramatic Art).
