About this event

Professor Andrew Lo

The literati in pre-modern China left us a sizeable record of the human experience. This talk will focus on treatises written by literati on chrysanthemums, as these number the greatest amongst those devoted to specific types of flowers, and problems modern readers face in appreciating the descriptions and poems in these works will be discussed.
