Professor Graham Furniss, Pro-Director, SOAS, will preside.

In his inaugural lecture Mashood Baderin will present a general but contextualised critical analysis of the relationship between religion and international law from four main perspectives: historical, theoretical, empirical and doctrinal. He will then draw a conclusion from these analyses of what the future of this relationship is likely to be.
