SOAS–University of Bergen Dual LLM Programme
SOAS administers a successful Dual LLM Partnership with the University of Bergen facilitating the entry of Bergen's postgraduate law students into the SOAS LLM programme in London.
Through this partnership, University of Bergen postgraduate law students are eligible to enrol in SOAS’ 1-year LLM programme in place of either Year Four or Year Five of their 5-year LLM programme. Students’ home institution will then articulate the SOAS LLM into their home degree, with students then graduating with two law degrees – one from either the University of Bergen, and one from SOAS.
Partnership programme
This partnership programme allows LLM students from Bergen university to take up specialised SOAS LLM programmes which may align with academic and professional areas of interest. SOAS LLM programmes for which Bergen students may enrol through this partnership include:
- LLM (Master of Laws)
- LLM Environmental Law and Sustainable Development
- LLM Human Rights, Conflict and Justice
- LLM International Commercial and Economic Law
- LLM International Law
- LLM Islamic Law
- LLM Law and Gender
SOAS is pleased to be able to offer a discount against ordinary international tuition fee rates for Bergen students enrolling through the dual LLM partnership.
To be eligible, students should be current LLM students at University of Bergen maintaining an average grade of B/C in their current law degree, and should have obtained 4.0 in English language through Norwegian Vitnemal.
