SOAS– University of Oslo Dual LLM Programme
SOAS administers a successful Dual LLM Partnership with the University of Oslo in Norway, facilitating the entry of our partner's postgraduate law students into the SOAS LLM programme in London.
Through this partnership, University of Oslo postgraduate law students are eligible to enrol in SOAS’ one-year LLM programme in place of either Year Four or Year Five of their 5-year LLM programme. Students’ home institution will then articulate the SOAS LLM into their home degree, with students then graduating with two law degrees – one from the University of Oslo and one from SOAS.
Specialised LLM programmes
This partnership programme allows LLM students from University of Oslo to take up specialised SOAS LLM programmes which may align with academic and professional areas of interest. SOAS LLM programmes for which Oslo students may enrol through this partnership include:
- LLM (Master of Laws)
- LLM Environmental Law and Sustainable Development
- LLM Human Rights, Conflict and Justice
- LLM International Commercial and Economic Law
- LLM International Law
- LLM Islamic Law
- LLM Law and Gender
- LLM Law and Development in Planetary Perspective
As part of the partnership, University of Oslo students admitted to the SOAS LLM programmes will pay the SOAS tuition fees as set for "full-time UK students" instead of the tuition fees for overseas students.
To be eligible, students should be current LLM students at University of Oslo, maintaining an average grade of B/C in their current law degree, and should have obtained 4.0 in English language through Norwegian Vitnemal.
