Pu Cheng is a third-year PhD student at SOAS, University of London and supervised by Prof. Jan Toporowski.

His research primarily focuses on how money and finance affect regional disparities. The main research methods and ideas are under the illumination of Kaleckian and Post-Keynesian approaches, with which this research could have a systematic and coherent understanding towards money and finance to unravel their roles in regional disparities and regional financial instability.

His research aims to bring some original ideas to re-consider regional financial development and related monetary policy decisions.
