Biography
Jorge Garcia-Arias is conducting research on the Neoliberal Development Agenda, specifically in terms of the intersections between financialization, neoliberalism, climate change and financing for development, in the broader framework settled down by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Dr Garcia-Arias is an Associate Professor at the University of Leon (Spain), and co-convener of the MA in International Development and Cooperation, jointly offered by the Universities of Burgos, Leon, Salamanca and Valladolid. Jorge’s main research lines are connected with Critical Development Studies (neoliberalism; development finance; Latin America) and International Political Economy (financialization; EU crisis; political ecology).
