SFM Academic Excellence Marketing Scholarship

The School of Finance and Management is offering 5 x £5,000 scholarships to successful candidates of the MSc International Marketing that is being launched in the 2024/25 academic year.

This award will act as a fee waiver towards tuition fees

Candidate Criteria 

• Applicants must have an unconditional or conditional offer to study full-time MSc International Marketing at SOAS by the time of the scholarship panel stage. Part-time study is not eligible for this award.
• Applicants must be paying fees at the Overseas rate only.
• The scholarships are assigned on the base of merit. Candidates will be assessed on academic performance and work or voluntary experience. They should write a 1000-word supporting statement detailing this.
• Applications should also include a CV of up to two pages in length. Applicants will need to send their CV to scholarships@soas.ac.uk after applying for the award.
• This scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with other fully-funded awards.

Candidate Assessment 

• Based on the information provided in your scholarship application (CV and a supporting statement) as well as your application to study at SOAS.
• Candidates will be assessed on the quality of their applications by a Selection Panel consisting of three academic members.

Scholarship Application Deadline

• Scholarship applications must be received no later than 12:00 PM (midday UK local time) on Friday 31st May 2024.
• You must submit a complete application to the MSc International Marketing as soon as possible as you will need to have a firm offer for your programme by the time the Scholarship Panel meet.
• You must submit an application for this scholarship and email a CV (two-pages maximum) to scholarships@soas.ac.uk by the deadline in order to be considered.
• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship Application Procedures

There is a two-step procedure:

Step one: apply for MSc International Marketing

• Guidance is available on apply for Postgraduate Admissions and what makes a complete application here. Please note that complete applications for admissions can take up to 4 weeks to be considered by the Department, although this duration can vary depending on the time of the year. You should be prepared to wait up to 6 weeks in busy periods.

Step 2: Apply for the scholarship by 12:00pm (midday UK local time) on Friday 31 May 2024 

• You must apply for this scholarship via the online application form.

Notification 

The scholarship shortlisting and awarding period is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024, at the earliest. Successful candidates will be contacted first and once all awards have been allocated, the unsuccessful candidates will be notified.
