We have a wide range of scholarships and awards to support students on our degree programmes (this excludes any distance learning programmes)
Each award page details the residency and person eligibility criteria, as well as the application deadline dates that you will need to meet. In order to apply for SOAS scholarships, applicants must also have applied to study a program at SOAS.
Awards for 2025/26 will be opening throughout November 2024 to January 2025.
Scholarship maintenance payments
If you have a SOAS (or internal) scholarship, you will receive your maintenance payments in 3 equal instalments. Instalments will be paid directly to your bank account.
- First stipend on/around 14 October 2024
- Second stipend on/around 20 January 2025
- Third stipend on/around 5 May 2025
