Martha is a current Mphil in Linguistics at SOAS, University of London. She is researching politeness in the endangered Ryukyuan language, Amami. She has worked with the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre for Documentation, Research and Information (Docip) as well as the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR) as an archive assistant since 2015.
