About this event

This masterclass will provide participants with an introduction to linguistic analysis, with a particular focus on the diversity of languages other than English.

Language is one of the features of humanity that sets the species apart from others on Earth. There are about 7000 spoken languages in the world and about 300 writing systems. Linguistic or language differences, of course, can mean many things, including how language used or employed or the difference between different languages.

The masterclass will introduce students to tools and concepts that will enable them to think analytically and formally about language structures and meaning making. Participants will be able to apply their learning to English and Any other language they are learning or already speak.
