- Why is it that resource rich developing nations fail to manage their commodity risks through hedging. Looking at three case studies, Chile, DRC and Zambia, all major copper producers and all run by State Owned Enterprises
Biography
After graduating in Development Studies in South Africa, Robert spent the next 45 years in the commodity markets in research, working for banks and brokers and after a spell in the steel industry he spent 7 years at the London Metal Exchange before going into risk management consulting.
Research interests
Commodities, risk management and challenging the views of those who don’t use these skills.
