SOAS Music Workshops

Every summer, SOAS opens its doors to the public for 3-weeks of short music courses with music specialist from around the world.

You can try your hand at the kora, from West Africa, the mbira of Zimbabwe or learn to sing North Indian classical, Russian, Yiddish or Circlesong. If you already play an instrument, why not try out Arabic maqam, join the Cuban Music Big Band for a week, or experience the joy of a Roma ensemble.

If you are passionate about music and cultures, there is something for everyone: Intensive and inspiring courses, hands-on workshops, taster sessions and master classes for beginners to experts, amateurs and professionals.
