About Thai Lawyers for Human Rights

Thai Lawyers for Human Rights is a non-governmental organization founded in the wake of Thailand’s military coup in 2014, dedicated to both providing legal assistance to human rights defenders facing political prosecution for demanding democracy in Thailand, and advocating for human rights promotion and protection nationally and internationally.

The organization has received recognition for its unwavering commitment to justice, including the Justice for Democracy Defenders Albies Award 2023 from the Clooney Foundation for Justice, for its courageous work in promoting civil liberties and defending the rule of law in Thailand.
