About this event
What's the correct way to respond if a Korean asks 'have you eaten rice?'. What are the do's and don'ts during a Korean meal? What is a sonbae and who is your nuna?
Although South Korea is known for its cutting-edge technology and popular culture, it is also a country where ancient customs, traditions and etiquette are performed in everyday life. This masterclass will explore some of these traditions to give students a better understanding of contemporary Korean society. There will also be group activities to help students develop their critical thinking and analytical skills.
SOAS masterclasses are subject-based and are 3-hours long. They consist of a topic-based lecture and interactive activity, led by a SOAS academic. There is also a campus tour and workshop on higher education led by Student Ambassadors.
Application Deadline
Deadline for applications using the online form above is Tuesday 19 March at 10:00am.
