Student Enterprise

Students at SOAS have access to multiple mentoring programs, workshops and funding opportunities to hone their entrepreneurial skills. 

Alongside the Students Union, the Enterprise team facilitates the launch of several sustainable enterprises. Our goal is to nurture our young entrepreneurs and help them secure the necessary grants and mentoring to bring their passion projects to life.

We deliver a 6-week pre-accelerator programme designed to help build your business from scratch. The pre-accelerator helps students come together and explore entrepreneurship, learn the key fundamentals of business whilst forming teams to develop a startup idea. We offer expert workshops, masterclasses and mentoring to take your business concept to a minimum viable product.

Additionally, we offer students with already established businesses the opportunity to grow and optimize their Enterprises through our Accelerator Program. 

In partnership with Youth Beyond Borders, Student Enterprise at SOAS helped 18 female entrepreneurs secure spots on The Social Enterprise Course which is a a 10-Week incubator program that grants students expert mentoring as well as substantial funding. 

By the end of March 2024 the student entrepreneurs were hosted for a student showcase that allowed them to share the social impact of their business ideas to prospective investors.
