Biography
Abdoulie Kurang is a Mo Ibrahim Foundation-funded PhD candidate in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Before joining SOAS, Abdoulie served as the Head of Solutions Mapping at the United Nations Development Programme in The Gambia. Prior to that, he was a lecturer in Development Studies at the University of The Gambia. Abdoulie holds a master’s degree in Social Development (with distinction) from the University of Sussex as a Chevening Scholar, and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Social Change (with distinction) from Collegio Carlo Alberto/University of Turin. He pursued undergraduate studies in Development Studies at the University of The Gambia.
