Sugandha, MA Human Rights Law 2017

An advocate for women's rights and human rights with a commitment to social development, Sugandha graduated with an MA Human Rights Law in 2017 at SOAS.

She studied Islamic Law and Human Rights, Gender and Human Rights, and Comparative Law. During her time at SOAS, she was in the International Human Rights Clinic, a member of Syria Society and secretary for the Kashmir Solidarity Movement. She now works for India's largest philanthropic organisation, Tata Trusts, on a project with the Government.

She is an active member of Women in Global Health India and volunteers with youth and civic organisations.

She co-founded Women for Politics to improve political participation and representation of women in South Asia and is hoping to connect with other alumni in South Asia who are interested in getting involved.
