Biography
Amir Massoumian is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at SOAS University of London. His doctoral research titled ‘Outsider Epistemologies’ focused on far-right supporters in London reflecting on the inquiry of what far-right ideology offers in terms of making meaning in relation to my participants’ diverse range of histories, lived experiences, and subjectivities. His current topics of interest include political exclusion, nostalgia, gender, body politics, and research ethics. He is currently writing two upcoming books titled Difficult Subjects? Rethinking Ethics in Contemporary Anthropology along with his manuscript Outsider Epistemologies: An Ethnography of the Far-Right in London. Amir is currently a researcher for the AHRC funded ‘Archives of Solidarity’ project.
