Atsushi Ikeda is a Japanese historian of South Asian art, especially Punjab painting since the early modern period. He received his masters in Fine Arts and Area Studies respectively, and worked as a research fellow in India and Japan. He has recently been enrolled at a doctoral degree in the United Kingdom as a government-sponsored overseas student.
