Dr. Bernard Regan is currently a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for History and Public Pasts at St Mary’s University. 

Bernard’s research is focused on Palestine and the British Mandate.  His book “The Balfour Declaration: Empire, Mandate and Resistance in Palestine” was published in 2017. He has also published work on education in Palestine under the Mandate.  He is currently researching the 1936 - 1939 uprising in Palestine with a focus on the interrelationship between the economic, social and the political developments shaping Palestinian politics.
