Biography

Born in an Italian-Egyptian and Catholic-Muslim family, Dalia has always been interested in the intersection between her multiple identities which pushed her to pursue doctoral studies. Outside academia, Dalia is involved in the promotion of inter-faith dialogue in the capacity of Inter-Faith advisor for Goodenough College, of which she has been a member since 2020. Recently, Dalia founded MyMixedheritage, a small inter-faith charity association that aims at making inter-faith discourse more accessible and inclusive of the experiences of people with a mixed-faith background.
