Emil is a PhD student at SOAS, University of London.  He majored in Philosophy as an undergraduate at the Catholic Institute of Philosophy Ledalero, Maumere, Flores, Indonesia, and obtained a Masters in Public Administration at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, and a Masters in Development Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Prior to his PhD studies, Emil was a staff member of   the Catholic Institute of Philosophy Ledalero, Maumere, Flores, Indonesia.
