In the first of the monthly Indian Art Circle lectures in 2024-25, Dr Anna Slaczka (Curator of South Asian Art, Rijksmuseum) will discuss the current exhibition at the Rijksmuseum: Asian Bronze: 4000 Years of Beauty, which is the result and culmination of this research.

How were Chola-bronzes made? And how can one learn what is hiding inside a Buddhist statue? These are a few among many questions that underlie the technical research on bronze objects from Asia carried out in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, over the past few years.
