Corporations, capital and labour in times of COVID-19

As the Covid-19 pandemic not only threatens to overburden health systems but also exposes the fragility of global capitalism, this webinar will focus on the economic challenges countries, corporations and households face in this current moment. With a particular emphasis on the Global South, the talk will reflect on the way in which economic theories can help in the understanding of the effects the pandemic has on capital investments, labour markets and economic development. The webinar will also address policy implications and spaces for social mobilisation to confront the economic challenges in a (post-)Covid-19 economy.
