CPD course - enhance your language teaching skills

Are you a language teacher seeking to enhance your teaching expertise and lesson-planning efficiency? 

Are you interested in joining the ranks of HE language educators but lack formal certification or training? Or are you an academic seeking to transform your expertise into communicative teaching? Join our intensive course at the SOAS Language Centre to achieve your goals. This course is designed to provide a CPD Certificate in Teaching Foreign Languages.

The course offers engaging opportunities to train and explore practical elements of language teaching through a mixture of input and practice sessions. 

About the Language Centre

This event is hosted by the Language Centre.

The SOAS Language Centre has been teaching more than 30 languages over two decades, including many less widely taught ones. The Centre specialises in Asian, African, and NME languages.  

Our team of trainers has 20+ years teaching and training experience. Having worked in various learning environments, they are committed to continuous professional development in language education. 

Entry requirements 

• Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course 
• Demonstrate a standard of English proficiency 
• Teaching experience is desirable, but not essential 

Course details

• Dates: 17 February - 21 February 2025
• Time: 10:30am to 3:30pm (with a one-hour lunch break)  
• Location: SOAS University campus 
• Classes are scheduled every day (Monday to Friday)
