The fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) will be launched in Seville in June 2025.

But strong political headwinds are obstructing this once in a decade, critical opportunity to redesign transformative finance for development in a UN-led space: shrinking Global North official aid, heightened geopolitical tensions and the Trump administration hostility towards multilaterialism.

Join SOAS scholars from the UN International Commission of Experts and civil society in a conversation about opportunities and strategies for the new world beyond aid.

Speakers

  • Dzodzi Tsikata, Distinguished Research Professor, Department of Development Studies (SOAS)
  • Daniela Gabor, Professor of Economics, Department of Economics (SOAS)
