SOAS is excited to be announce Graduation Day 2024 at Friends House, London on 3-5 September 2024.
This year there will be two ceremonies per day, starting at 10:30am and 2:30pm, with each ceremony lasting approximately 90 minutes. Eligible graduands will receive an email with further details on how to register in July 2024. Registration will open in late July and remain open until 19 August 2024.
Graduation emails are generated from your student record and your alumni account, so please ensure we have an up-to-date email address for you. If you need to update your contact details, please visit our Online Student Services Portal.
We recommend that you do not book any travel/accommodation until you receive confirmation that you are eligible to attend the September 2024 graduation ceremonies.

Honorary Fellows 2024
The award of Honorary Fellow allows SOAS to acknowledge those who have made an outstanding contribution to the university and its community above and beyond reasonable expectations and over a sustained period of time.
This year's Honorary Fellowships list will be confirmed soon.
Eligibility to attend
The graduation ceremonies taking place in September 2024 are for:
- Undergraduate students who will complete their studies in Summer 2024.
- Postgraduate students who completed their degrees in November 2023 and January 2024.
- PhD students who complete by 19 July 2024.
If you have late summer resits in 2024, you will be eligible to attend the ceremonies in September 2025. For more information on eligibility please see our How to book page.
Tickets
You’ll be sent an invitation email inviting you to your graduation ceremony along with instructions on how to reserve your place and buy guest tickets. If you're graduating, your ticket is free and includes access to the post ceremony reception.
Tickets for guests are £35 each and include access to the post ceremony reception. Each graduand can purchase up to two guest tickets for family and friends who wish to attend the ceremony.
If you're unable to attend your ceremony after you registered you must cancel your gown and tickets on the Ede and Ravenscroft website before 19 August 2024 for a refund. Any cancellations received after this date will be non-refundable.
Live stream
The livestream of the ceremonies will be available so that friends and family who are unable to attend can join in the celebrations. The stream will be available approximately 5-minutes prior to the start of your ceremony.
