About this event

Join us for an evening of music, art and poetry in our concert  'Where the mind is without fear: Rabindranath Tagore’s Vision of Freedom through his Songs, Poetry, and Paintings'.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) was a Bengali polymath who significantly influenced Bengali literature, music, and Indian art. His works spanned poetry, novels, plays, essays, and paintings.

This event will showcase the breath of Tagore's work, through poetry, paintings and music. The event will begin with a musical performance from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, after which attendees can then visit his paintings in the 'Painting Freedom' exhibition at the SOAS Gallery from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.

In partnership with the Tagore Centre UK and the Bengali Heritage Foundation.
