SOAS University of London and Centre for Law and Business are pleased to present the first in their Quarterly Lecture Series, the Inaugural Edition.

Lecture Topics and Speakers

  1. Topic: Emerging Technologies: Governance and Regulation of Contemporary Technologies of Genome Editing.
    Speaker: Dr Alberto Asquer - Senior Lecturer of Public Policy and Management at the School of Finance and Management
  2. Money Laundering: Use of Proceeds of Crime Measures to Target Transnational Activities of Corporations.
    Speaker: Dr Richard Alexander - Senior Lecturer Financial Law and Director, Learning & Teaching and a member of the Centre for Global Finance in the School of Finance and Management, SOAS University of London

The Quarterly Lecture Series is a consequence of the SOAS – CLB Collaboration following the visit earlier by Baroness Valerie Amos, CH PC, then Director of SOAS University of London to Centre for Law and Business (CLB) in Nigeria.

The Collaboration aims to offer access to and excellent academic support in Nigeria for the SOAS University of London Master’s Degrees (MSc) run by the Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS):

  • MSc. Finance and Financial Law
  • MSc. International Business Administration
  • MSc. Public Policy and Management
  • MSc. Public Financial Management
