About this event
This book presentation is part of the SOAS Economics Seminar Series - Autumn Term 2024.
Despite recent policy activism, social protection institutions in Latin America remain highly unequal in terms of access and provision. This is well understood by researchers and policy makers, but change has been hard to secure. This book offers a comprehensive analysis of social protection in Latin America explaining its evolution and stratification outcomes. It argues the case for a ‘global’ theory of welfare institutions.
