Stories with Borders

Dr Yasmin Fedda will deliver a seminar at the Centre for Migration and Diaspora Studies about her recent project, ‘Stories with Borders” (film outputs from the Protracted Displacement Economies Research Project) and show extracts from her project.

About the speaker

Dr Yasmin Fedda is a multi-award-winning documentary director whose films have been broadcast on the BBC and Al Jazeera English and screened at numerous festivals worldwide, including Sundance, Edinburgh FF, and CPH: Dox. Titles include Ayouni (2020), Queens of Syria(2014), I Steal from The Capitalists (2015), and Breadmakers (2007).

Her first documentary installation, The Pathogen of War, was previewed in 2023. Yasmin is also a researcher and lecturer in film at Queen Mary University, London.
