In this session the speakers will introduce several major funding opportunities provided by academic institutions and the ROC government. They include:

 

Fellowships

Taiwan Fellowship 臺灣獎助金計畫 (Established by Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – This is a research funding scheme for academics and PhD students.

Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation Fellowship and Grants 蔣經國基金會研究獎

Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies program 外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助 (by the National Central Library, Taiwan)

 

Scholarships

Study Huayu in Taiwan 華語文獎學金 (MOE Scholarship) – For those who want to enhance their Huayu (Chinese) ability, the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity both to learn the language and experience the culture.

Study degree programmes in Taiwan 臺灣獎學金 (MOE Scholarship) – The Taiwan Scholarship provides funding to those wishing to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Taiwan, covering degree programmes taught in English or in Mandarin.

Youth Mobility Scheme 青年度假打工計畫 – This scheme provides the opportunity for 1,000 British young people (aged between 18 and 30) to work and travel in Taiwan.

 

 

These opportunities will be explained in detail, and all related questions will be answered directly by officials from the TRO in the UK and past recipients.
