Biography
Mr Frederick (Russ) Russell-Rivoallan is a former senior-level United Nations Diplomat, Strategist, Policy Advisor, and Speechwriter.
He is a Political Scientist and Policy Analyst, with over thirty years international diplomatic experience. He worked for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1997, specialising in human-centred post-conflict reconciliation and post-disaster reconstruction. He led international development projects in the fields of youth engagement, gender equality, and sport for peace and development, including the creation of a regional Model UN conference.
He is a specialist in multilateral governance, protocol, and diplomacy having served in multiple capacities for the Organization’s governing bodies, including as Secretary of the Programme and External Relations Commission of the Executive Board of UNESCO, following his appointments as Policy Advisor to three Chairpersons of the Executive Board.
