Biography
Natasa Thoudam is an Assistant Professor of English in the School of Liberal Arts (SoLA) and an affiliate faculty member in the interdisciplinary research platform of Digital Humanities (DH@IITJ) at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ), India.
Her highly transdisciplinary research on Manipur in India’s Northeast intersects Comics Studies, Digital Humanities, Gender Studies, Literary Studies, Performance Studies, and Religious Studies. On the creative front, she is currently working on her second graphic narrative that makes use of born-digital creative and artistic practices.
She is also working on two book projects: one on Religious Studies and the other on Comics Studies. She plans to set up one of the first Comics Studies labs at IITJ.
Research interests
Gendered Military History of the Meiteis in Manipur (in India’s Northeast) and Burma.
