The Japanese Roof Garden will reopen soon

It’s finally happening! The SOAS Japanese Roof Garden is currently being refurbished and will be reopened to visitors on the week of 25 July in time for Graduation.

Access to the Garden is through the Brunei Gallery exhibitions space, and is open when the Galleries are open, from Tuesday - Saturday, 10:30am - 5pm, and late on Thursdays until 8pm.

The Japanese-inspired roof garden was built during the Japan 2001 celebrations and was officially opened by the sponsor, Mr Haruhisa Handa (Toshu Fukami), who became an Honorary Fellow of the School on 13 November 2001.

The garden provides an area away from the noise and bustle of London streets, where visitors can relax and meditate.
