New chapter for the Brunei Gallery, SOAS

Since opening in 1996, the Brunei Gallery has hosted over 200 international exhibitions and projects by prominent artists, curators, and researchers.

In recent weeks the gallery has begun operating under the name SOAS Gallery. Our agreement for the previous naming arrangement has come to an end, presenting the opportunity to seek a new partnership to support the work of the gallery.

The gallery has for nearly 30 years acted as a bridge between ongoing research taking part at SOAS and the public, championing our study in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, something unique in the London art scene. It is a major asset in the areas of learning and teaching at SOAS.

We very much look forward to its next phase.
