Shapoorji Pallonji Institute for Zoroastrian Studies hosts 'The Idea of Iran: Qajar Iran on the cusp of modernity' symposium

The Shapoorji Pallonji Institute for Zoroastrian Studies was pleased to host The Idea of Iran Symposium at SOAS, University of London, in May 2024. 

International scholars were invited to present their papers on The Idea of Iran: Qajar Iran on the cusp of modernity, with a publication expected next year. Video of some of the panels are now available on the SOAS SSPIZS YouTube page.

This event was held thanks to the generosity of the Soudavar Memorial Foundation and in collaboration with the Centre for Iranian Studies and The Cambridge Shahnama Centre for Persian Studies. See event page for the full programme.
