SOAS website in UK top ten for accessibility

SOAS has been named the eighth best university in the UK for digital accessibility in the latest Silktide higher education website audit. This follows our listing in the top 30 for the first-time last year in August. 

The new SOAS website launched in 2022 and was originally designed with accessibility at the forefront of the user experience. Since July 2023 accessibility has been a priority, with several initiatives and updates having been undertaken to ensure the best standards are met.   

Silktide is a web intelligence company that analyses websites across multiple areas to help improve accessibility, content and the user experience. The higher education audit tests university websites against accessibility legislation, including mobile device testing.
