Biography

Pelumi is a PhD Candidate in Development Studies at SOAS, University of London. Prior to commencing her PhD, her professional experience in international development spans advocacy, policy design, communications, research, and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In her immediate past engagement at the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD West Africa), she led and supported projects and initiatives on the elections in Nigeria, transitional justice, and engagement with key stakeholders in development, peace, and security.

She was one of the lead consultants that worked on a study to map the potential of transitional justice in Nigeria’s Northwest.  Founder of Teens Going for Gold Network, an organization that provides teenagers across Nigeria with 21st century relevant learning experiences, Oluwapelumi is also Co-Founder of Social Good Lagos, a UN-Foundation backed not-for-profit that explores the potentials of technology and new media to accelerate the attainment of the SDGs in Nigeria.
