Biography
Sachiho Funabashi is a PhD candidate at SOAS, University of London.
Their research interests include peace, peacebuilding, security, identity formation and concept analysis. Funabashi gained a BA degree in International Relations (University of Tsukuba, Japan) and an MA degree in International Conflict Studies (King’s College London, UK).
They worked as a researcher at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan, specialising in the subject of international peace cooperation. Currently, Funabashi is working on the concept of peace in the context of the UK and Japan’s foreign policies in Afghanistan.
Research interests
Peace, peacebuilding, security, identity, memory, concept analysis, discourse analysis.
