Thereza Balliester Reis is a Lecturer in Economics at SOAS - University of London.

Her research interests are related to financial inclusion, over-indebtedness, poverty and inequality in the Global South. Her work applies both quantitative and qualitative methods. She is currently working on a research project about financial inclusion in Nairobi, funded by the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant (2022-24).
