SOAS continues to rank in top 50 universities in the world for internationalism
9 June 2021
SOAS University of London continues to perform among the top 30% in the QS World University Rankings 2022 as the university has ranked in the world’s Top 50 universities for internationalism.
The specific rankings look at two measures, the International Faculty Ratio, which measures the proportion of non-domestic faculty at an institution; and the International Student Ratio, which measures the proportion of non-domestic students at an institution. This provides an indication of a university’s ability to attract talent from across the world. SOAS ranked 21 globally for International Students and 48 for International Faculty.
QS looks at over 1,000 institutions across the world in order to produce its rankings each year. SOAS also ranks within the top 50 universities in the United Kingdom overall.
This follows news earlier this year where SOAS's ranking rose amongst the world’s elite institutions in the QS World University Rankings by subject 2021 for Arts and Humanities at 44th. Ten subject areas across a broad range of disciplines ranked among the world’s top 100 and six ranked among the top 50, include Development Studies at 5th.
SOAS has also ranked in the Top 50 universities in the UK in the Complete University League Tables 2022 .
