EDDID is partnering with SOAS University of London and generously offering four bursaries of £2,000 each to master’s students in MSc Economics or School of Finance and Management courses. 

Bursaries are offered to existing students in the current academic year 2024/25. Two awards are based on financial need and two are based on academic excellence.

Eligible programmes

Candidate criteria

  • Applicants should be fully enrolled in the current academic year (2024/25) in one of the eligible degree programmes. 
  • For the Eddid Financial 10th Anniversary International Academic Bursary, applicants will need a minimum of 2:1 bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5) to demonstrate academic excellence. 
  • Applications should include (a) a personal statement that explains the clarity of goals, passion for the field, and how the bursary would help the applicant achieve their academic and professional objectives, 
  • And (b) a two-page CV that especially highlights distinctive academic achievements and professional or academic potentials. 

Candidate assessment

  • Candidates will be assessed based on their academic merit, financial need, personal statements and CV by a Selection Panel. 
  • The assessment of your application will be based on the information provided in your scholarship application and in your online application for admission. The panel will review details such as degree results, personal statement and other relevant information.  

Application deadline

  • Applications must be received no later than 12:00PM (midday) UK local time on 31 January 2025. 
  • You must submit a two-page CV via email in order to complete your application for this bursary. CVs must be emailed to scholarships@soas.ac.uk and must also be received by 12:00PM (midday) UK local time on 31 January 2025. 
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. 

Application procedure

There is a two-step procedure:

Step 1

Complete the application form 12:00pm (midday) UK local time on 31 January 2025. You must apply for this scholarship via the online application form.

Step 2

Email your CV to the Scholarships Office by 12:00pm (midday) UK local time on 31 January 2025. Please email your two-page CV to scholarships@soas.ac.uk and ensure that you provide your SOAS student ID within the email.

Notification of results

The scholarship shortlisting and awarding period is expected to be completed by March 2025, at the earliest. Successful candidates will be contacted first and once all awards have been allocated, the unsuccessful candidates will be notified.
