Biography
Charles is a lawyer in the firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. He focuses on the firm’s leading practice areas of international arbitration and commercial disputes, with a particular interest in the law of obligations and the law of damages.
Charles has been Called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Major Scholar by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. He has been an Oralist and Quarter-Finalist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where he scored 93%, 91%, 90% for his advocacy. While obtaining experience into practicing life as a barrister in London, he also clerked in the Commercial Court and Chancery Division of the High Court.
Charles holds an LLM in Legal Theory from New York University School of Law, where his research on ‘Respectful Coercion’ was supervised by Jeremy Waldron. He obtained numerous scholarships and prizes for outstanding academic achievement in his BVS (City University), LLB (Queen Mary University), and BSc (King’s College London). He was elected an Associate of King’s College in 2019.
