The 33rd Sir Peter Parker Awards for Spoken Business Japanese

We are delighted to announce the 33rd Sir Peter Parker Awards for Spoken Business Japanese was held on 5 November 2024 as scheduled.

There were eight finalists presented their speeches, and the four prize winners were,

1st prize winner

• Ms. Vedha Narayanasamy (Bloomberg LP)
• Speech title: Bridging the Gap in business: Exploring Western Low-Context vs. Japanese High-Context Cultures

2nd prize winner

• Ms. Gloria Chen (Square Enix Europe)
• Speech title: The real cool-Japan

3rd prize winner

• Ms. Hannah Robertson (Mainichi Newspapers)
• Speech title: The News Business: Values and Contractions in the Japanese and British Media Industries

Special prize winner

• Mr Krishna Choudhury (G3)
• Speech title: Foreign workers and the future of the workforce: exploring the business need for foreign labour in Japan and the UK.
