SOAS Anthropology and Sociology Dept will be presenting a free preview showing of A Câmara (The Chamber) in SOAS's Kalili Lecture Theatre
This film, directed by Cristiane Bernardes and anthropologist Tiago de Aragão, reveals the everyday political work of Brazilian women MPs from across the political spectrum. We see them navigating tense relationships with other politicians, staff, the media and citizens, during the last turbulent year of Bolsonaro’s government.
