About this event

Telma Holyer, Mitiku Gabrehiwot, Richard Axelby (all SOAS) and Shirley van der Maarel (Univ of Manchester) will present their findings on riffs, rhythms and rituals within relationships between politicians and people.

During this event our speakers, all research fellows of the Global Research on Parliaments and People at SOAS Anthropology and Sociology Department, will discuss film-making as a research method, working with artists in sites of conflict, and questioning the duality of art and science. They will take us to political worlds within Såo Paulo (Brazil), Tigray (Ethiopia) and the diaspora, Fiji and Sheffield (the UK).
