About this event
Dr Richard Alexander
The positive environmental impact of the lockdown arising from the covid-19 pandemic has focused increased attention on better ways of doing business. This is, however, not a new thing: "ethical banks" and related ethical financial products have been offered since the 1980s. In non- Muslim-majority countries, which do not have a formal shari'a regulator, Islamic banking is simply one example of this. In this webinar, Dr. Richard Alexander examines the question, how can financial institutions whose products are not as ethical as they claim be called to account?
